intonaci macroporosi

Complete versatility

With TRH 780® concentrate you can make high evaporation macroporous plaster by choosing the most suitable aggregates and binders for the type of work to be carried out. In this way plaster can be made with pozzolana, lime, cement, mixes, etc. together with aggregates such as cocciopesto, quarry sand, river sand, ground stone, quartz sand, cereals, etc.

Use

When blended into the plaster mix, TRH780® Plaster&Dehumidify makes the mass expand considerably by creating interconnected calibrated micro-bubbles inside, which makes the water in the masonry transmigrate to the outside environment in the form of vapour.
This plaster conformation also enables water-soluble salts sometimes found in capillary rise water to expand inside the micro-bubbles without exercising the typical mechanical break-up that these salts exercise in traditional plaster due to their variation in volume from anhydrides to saturates.
A special feature of macroporous plaster made using TRH780® is that it can absorb any excess water vapour in rooms without allowing it to condense on the surfaces, subsequently restoring it as soon as the surplus relative humidity values have gone back to normal.

Characteristics and precautions

Product in powder form. Non-flammable. Do not ingest. Keep away from children. Use gloves and goggles during mixing procedure.

Painting and finishing materials

A month after the application of the macroporous plaster it will be possible to paint the surfaces, taking care to use highly breathable materials such as pigmented lime, natural or painting with silicates or polysiloxane resins. Plastic or film-forming finishes must be avoided at all costs.

Consumption

To make the plaster just add 1 5-kg pack of TRH 780® Plaster&Dehumidify to the concrete mixer for every 50 kg of hydraulic binder (cement, lime, putty, pozzolana, with exclusion of gypsum). The ratio for aggregates (river sand, quarry sand, cocciopesto, lava ash, cereal residue or others) is the same as for any traditional mix: three parts of aggregate for every part of binder (1 bucket of binder + 3 buckets of aggregate). The overall thickness of the plaster must never be less than 2 cm. Two-coat finishes must also be made by adding TRH 780® to the mix.
